Tolerance

Tolerance

I am perplexed that so many of my friends are against a mosque being built near Ground Zero. I think it should be the goal of every American to be tolerant. The mosque should be allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance.

That is why I also propose that two gay nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque thereby promoting tolerance within the mosque. We could call the clubs "The Turban Cowboy" and "You Mecca Me So Hot".

Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork and it should have an open barbeque with spare ribs as its daily special. Across the street a very daring lingerie store called " Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret” with sexy mannequins in the window modeling the goods.

Next door to the lingerie shop, there would be room for an Adult Toy Shop (Koranal Knowledge?), its name in flashing neon lights, and on the other side a liquor store, maybe call it "Morehammered"?

If you agree in promoting tolerance and you think this is a good plan, pass it on.

JUST THINK HOW MUCH MONEY WE WOULD SAVE

An interesting letter in the Australian Shooter Magazine this week, which I quote:

"If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theater of operations during the past 22 months, and a total of 2112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

"The firearm death rate in Washington, DC is 80.6 per 100,000 for the same period.

That means you are about 25 percent more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. capital, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the U.S., than you are in Iraq."

Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington.

Some Truths About the Sex Offender Registry

Every legitimate statistical study and body of research regarding this subject has come to the same conclusions, the current registry and its residency/work place restrictions do not work. They: 1) Are completely ineffective 2) Cost hundreds of millions of dollars and are inefficient 3) Actually create a greater risk to children and the vulnerable. 4) Have not once been proven to prevent a crime, yet there are numerous accounts where they have increased crime 5) Encourage public misconception; Well over 90% of those asked assumed all the people on the registry were child molesters. 6) Have created a sub class of vigilantes, in Texas alone 16-20% of the families (and their children) of someone on the registry report some form of harassment. Most go unreported. 7) Have proven the only registry should be restricted to Law Enforcement. They are the ones charged with keeping the peace, and they can ascertain who the truly dangerous ones are, (assuming we don’t keep trying to help them find the needle in a haystack by increasing the size of the hay stack.) So far, facts prove the registry has only been useful for catching, or eliminating offenders after a crime has occurred. 8) Do not address the real situation; 95% of sexual offences occur in the home, by immediate family, relatives, close friends or trusted acquaintances. Less than 1/10th of 1% of sexual offences are committed by someone on the registry. That is why when it does happen, it makes all the headlines. The Media understands “Sex Sells”!

While the desire and goal to save “even one child” from harm is most laudable, to do so by recklessly and needlessly endangering the safety and lives of thousands of children, their families, friends, neighbors and co-workers is not the way to go about it. That is neither a reasonable, logical, nor viable solution...at least not to me.

This nation is quickly abandoning nobility and embracing retribution, exchanging freedom for a tenuous and false sense of security. God fearing, honest, and sincere people are being lead blindly by politicians pandering to the hysterical and misinformed through the sensationalist media, just to get elected or increase ratings share. Sex Sells! Intriguing, especially since Jesus said: “But I tell you that it will be more bearable for Sodom on the Day of Judgment than for you.”

I will leave you folks with just two simple quotes:

“The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation. ” From “Mein Kampf” by Adolf Hitler

"Those who are willing to sacrifice freedom for security deserve neither freedom nor security, and will loose both." Benjamin Franklin.

Just Damn We Were Good, and I missed half of it!

No matter what our kids and the new generation think about us,

WE ARE AWESOME !!!
OUR Lives are LIVING PROOF !!!

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED THE
1920s,’30s, '40s, '50s, '60s and '70s!!

First, we survived being born to mothers who may have smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant.

They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then, after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, locks on doors or cabinets, and, when we rode our bikes, we had baseball caps,
not helmets, on our heads.

As infants and children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, no booster seats, no seat belts, no air bags, bald tires and sometimes no brakes..

Riding in the back of a pick- up truck on a warm day was always a special treat.

We drank water from the garden hose and not from a bottle.

We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle, and no one actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread, real butter, and bacon. We drank Kool-Aid made with real white sugar. And we weren't overweight.
WHY?

Because we were always outside playing...that's why!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day.
--And, we were OKAY.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps
and then ride them down the hill,
only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Play Stations, Nintendo’s and X-boxes.

There were no video games, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVDs.
No surround-sound or CDs, no cell phones,
no personal computers,
no Internet and no chat rooms.

WE HAD FRIENDS
and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, and broke bones and teeth.
There were no lawsuits from those accidents.

We would get spankings with wooden spoons, switches, ping-pong paddles, or just a bare hand, and no one would call child services to report abuse.

We ate worms, and mud pies made from dirt,

And the worms did not live in us forever.

We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls, and
-although we were told it would happen-

We did not put out very many eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them.

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team.
Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment.
Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

These generations have produced some of the best
risk-takers,
problem solvers, and inventors ever.

The past 50 to 85 years have seen an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned how to deal with it all.

If YOU are one of those born between 1925-1970,

CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids before the lawyers and the government regulates so much of our lives for our own good.

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it?

The quote of the month

Jay Leno:

"With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?"

For those that prefer to think that God is not watching over us...go ahead and delete this.
For the rest of us.....pass this on.

AN IF I MAY ADD:

We survived WW-I, the Great Depression, WW-II, the Korean War, the Cold War, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Viet Nam War, the Persian Gulf War, the War in Iraq.

Except for a measly few, we always held our head high, and never felt the need to apologize.

When disaster stuck, we were always the first ones there, no matter where, no matter what our differences.

We never took a piece of land, without returning it back to its people.

Men were men, and being a lady meant something.

We were proud to be Americans! We were the envy of the world.

Lost at Sea

Two Irishmen, Patrick & Michael,
were adrift in a lifeboat following a dramatic escape
from a burning freighter.
While rummaging through the boat's provisions,
Patrick stumbled across an old lamp.
Secretly hoping that a genie would appear,
he rubbed the lamp vigorously.
To the amazement of Patrick, a genie came forth.

This particular genie, however,
stated that he could only deliver one wish,
not the standard three.

Without giving much thought to the matter,
Patrick blurted out,
"Make the entire ocean into Guinness Beer!"

The genie clapped his hands with a deafening crash,
and immediately the entire sea turned into
the finest brew ever sampled by mortals.
Simultaneously, the genie vanished.

Only the gentle lapping of Guinness on the hull
broke the stillness as the two men considered their circumstances.

Michael looked disgustedly at Patrick
whose wish had been granted.
After a long, tension-filled moment, he spoke:
"Nice going Patrick!
Now we're going to have to pee in the boat!

I HAVE SEEN THE DEVEL, AND SHE NOW HAS RED / BROWN HAIR

Please remember these opinions are solely my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of others or that of any organization. This blog is my opportunity to vent. Deal with it!

On Thursday, July 29, 2010 John Stossel's show on Fox Business network was about Sex and the Rules. Much of the show was devoted to the sex offender registry. Now I love John Stossel, and in fact call myself a libertarian (mainly because most people have never read the Constitution much less understand what being a Constitutionalists means.) However, in my humble opinion I believe John made a fatal error. Instead of having a true professional regarding the sex offender registry, someone of the stature of a Jill Levenson, or a Chrysanthi Leon, people who have devoted years of their life studying this important issue, he instead opted to have the notorious Wendy Murphy. Perhaps he actually did many of those on the registry and the advocates for change of the registry a great favor. I say this because once again she not only proved herself to be ignorant of the facts, completely out of touch with reality, but willing to make blatantly false statements and ridiculous suggestions. She exemplified once again just how low the advocates for these ridiculous laws will stoop to further their agenda, and demonstrated their complete disregard for the ramifications of these laws and the real effects they have.

The show is broken into 6 parts on YouTube. I hope I have all the show and links below. You really must see them all.

Part 1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxullP0DaNg

Part 2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0ldv3C2tFw&feature=channel

Part 3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYqaq2dOcI4&feature=channel

Part 4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DF98EFjWtJU&feature=channel

Part 5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nG47lURWlDc&feature=channel

Part 6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szx0wl1B0G0&feature=channel

"Better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer," 1. says English jurist William Blackstone. The ratio 10:1 has become known as the "Blackstone ratio." 2. Lawyers "are indoctrinated" with it "early in law school."3. "Schoolboys are taught" it. 4. In the fantasies of legal academics, jurors think about Blackstone routinely. 5. Benjamin Franklin thought "that it is better [one hundred] guilty Persons should escape than that one innocent Person should suffer." 6.

These thoughts of humanity have obviously never crossed the mind of Ms. Wendy which is really scary when you consider the fact that she is actually called on to lecture and/or teach at New England law school. While I am certainly not advocating the release of 10 much less 100 guilty child molesters or sexual predators, (in fact I feel many are under sentenced) it only takes a little common sense to realize that not everyone charged with a “sexual offence” deserves to be thrown in prison, or once they have served their time and paid their debt spend the rest of their lives on a public sex offender registry. There are some, a few, but not all. Even Ms. Murphy tried to suggest that some of these cases should not be prosecuted, although without much conviction. And while she admitted there were some overzealous prosecutors out there, her suggestion was that they should be impeached or voted out of office. The solution to these problems is political. Try doing that from behind bars! Remember, many on the registry are not even of the age to vote. STUPID! She even suggested that many Romeo and Juliette cases that were brought before her she dismissed. Good to know she is all knowing and all seeing and is the only one capable of meeting out justice. Now I admit there are some judges out there that are too lenient. But they are few and far between. Remember the United States of America has the highest percentage of people incarcerated per capita of any country in the world! Damn few people get off easy in the USA. Just damn! I have an idea! Let's try to have those few judges impeached or removed rather than having thousands of undeserving men women and children's lives destroyed. Just a thought.

However while doing this she continued to defend and advocate the sex offender registry laws, in spite of the example sitting right in front of her of just how unjust these laws are. You see right in front of her was a young couple who back in high school had sex. He was 19 she was 15, it was consensual and they are now happily married with four children. But back then, rather than face years in prison he took a plea where he was promised some years on probation and in seven years it would be off his record. But then came the retroactive sex offender registry laws, and now he is being forced to register for the rest of his life. When he is 60 years old the Internet will tell everyone he is a child molester. His four little girls will go to school and be abused because they're father is classified as a pedophile. These registries do not give all the facts of the case.

But then the psychopath (and I mean that in the truest sense of the word) opened her mouth and out came the words, “Cases like this are rare and exceedingly rare”. (Lady, did a damn tree fall on your head? Are you that completely unaware?) There are literally tens of thousands of people just like these nationwide, serving lifetime sentences on the registry, with full public disclosure. 80% can't find jobs, and thousands are forced into homelessness. (For God sakes woman, there are 4840 children between the ages of ten and 17 on the sex offender registry in the state of Texas alone. 10 years old!) Why cannot Ms. Wendy comprehend that these laws force prosecutors and judges to make rulings and issue sentences, including lifetime registration, that are completely illogical, immoral, and socially unacceptable. Has this country decided to completely forsake nobility for the sake of retribution? She even suggested that we need these laws for the same reason we don't like 17 and 18-year-old children to drink or drive fast. (Woman, do you really think a suspended license, some time on probation, or even a short time in jail compares to a lifetime registry on the sex offender list is a pedophile? Your complete lack of empathy, compassion, and understanding with a total disregard to the effects these laws have on undeserving people is why I'm convinced you must be a psychopath.)

Then she said when asked, “It isn't that the law is good it’s that children don't always make good decisions”. Talk about talking out of both sides of your mouth. It's a good thing she's always going to be there with the law to help them make good decisions, especially right after their lives are destroyed. In the next segment she classifies these injustices, and samples of people being put on the registry for urinating in public as “lofty stories”. (Lady, these stories are far from lofty, they completely degrade our society, and completely destroy what this once great nation stood for, justice, and a chance to amend and overcome. That is what made us the envy of the world.) Then finally she threw out the bomb. She threw out a statement in defense of her arguments that proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that she is clueless. It proved once and for all that she would say and do anything to further her agenda and sell her books. It almost sounded like a politician, it convinced me that she may be on crack. (Yeah I said that. This is my blog and my opportunity to vent. If you read this entire article you just may agree) She said, and I quote, “Something like 2% of sex offenders are on registries, that's a problem, that number should be higher.” Now right now there are over 716,750 people on the registry. Based on her calculations that means there should be over 35,837,500 on the registry. That's right, almost 36 million. Based on the current populations of the United States, that's over one in eight for every man woman and child. (Lady where in the hell did you come up with this figure. You give me the reliable source and I'll publish it. Not only that I will publish a video recording of my public apology. I will take back everything I said or implied bad about you. I will kiss your butt on Peachtree at high noon and give you 20 minutes to draw a crowd. All you have to do is send me the information to the comments section at the bottom of this blog. I'm waiting!)

But that wasn't enough. In the face of a logical and commonsensical evaluation of the effects of the current registry laws she goes on to suggest that anyone who is on the registry only has to go out and meet people and everyone will be nice and they will be forgiven. And if not, it's because Stossel invited them on the show. You have to watch part two in full to see it. I’ll let you decide who is irrational.

But now I'd like to take a moment and introduce you to some of the other irrational and illogical thought processes that this lady presents. Regarding the recent trials and tribulations of Kobe Bryant, regarding some comments made by Bryant's attorney she said, “We now know that was a false statement — but most people still believe it to be true. In other legal systems the defense attorney would have been punished for making such a statement — but not in this country where defense attorneys can do whatever they want, including lie outright, with impunity. Bryant’s lawyer was described as a brilliant lawyer for how she handled the case. She may be a great attorney, but the way in which she handled that was didn’t take smarts — any dope can make up stories. This statement comes from Murphy’s Law” Law 101 with Wendy Murphy. From an interview in National Review.

Well hello dope! How about your 2% statement above? I guess it never occurred to you to do a little research. Such as the Texas Council on Sex Offender Treatment, which formed a task force in 2008 to study the efficiency of the registry. Council members say the current registry treats too many offenders as equally dangerous and inundates law enforcement agencies tasked with keeping track of them. "The registry is not really accomplishing what we wanted it to accomplish," said Liles Arnold, council chairman and a licensed professional counselor. "If we spread ourselves too thin, we are not keeping the community as safe as we like." And with your complete dispassionate and total disregard for the importance of keeping undeserving people off the registry, or how if they just go talk to people every one will make nice, I would like to further point out their findings that; Some offenders told of their children being ridiculed at school. Others told of difficulties finding jobs and places to live because of the public scrutiny. Sixteen to 19 percent of families of sex offenders report harassment, according to the treatment council.

Oh! And least we for get one of her most famous verbal snafus, (some might call it a blatant lie,) I lead you to this wonderful site which even though it is supposed to be her highly exalted biography, at the bottom it offers you a link to her actual statement and also a copy of the truth. Can you say Liar, Liar Pants on Fire? (Lord knows I hate it when Media Matters has it right.)

In summary, it's time for Fox news to start bringing on the true experts, the people who have actually done the research and dedicated their lives to seeking truth. They claim to be fair and balance, now would be a good time to back it up. On this issue, they have completely dropped the ball. I honestly don't think they understand just how many lives have been needlessly destroyed and children put at risk because of these knee-jerk reactionary laws. There are better and more cost-effective ways to protect our children that really work.

I screwed up!

Greetings all great and unwashed. In my never ending attempt to present the facts truthfully and honestly, least I be confused for a politician, I must offer the following contradiction to my previous blog. As a former Marine Kelly Piercy's blindness was not the result of a bomb in Viet Nam. The blindness was the result of a mis or un-diagnosed disease he contracted in Viet Nam resulting in his medical discharge.

The mortar barrage he endured merely resulted in severe knee injuries, shell shock, concussion, and the instant expulsion and loss of one crown and another tooth. (Hows that for close?)

I stand by my statement that he is a gentleman of unimpeachable charachter, and would further characterize him as well read, committed, proper judge of fine beers, and great judge of fantastic women as attested by the presence of his wonderful wife who's patience I will never understand as he tirelessly pursues his efforts to assure truth, justice, and preservation of the true American way.

GOOD!

Tomorrow we'll do Nancy Pelosi!

I know the next part is long, but please read completely. This issue ruins and recklessly endangers tens of thousands of family and and childrens lives each day, and cost tax payers billions nationwide!

On Monday, July 26, 2010 at 7:25 am, Fox News aired an interview (or debate) between Mr. Kelly Piercy, and the father of Jessica Lunsford, Mark Lunsford. You may recall that Jessica was a nine-year-old girl who was abducted from her home in Homosassa, Florida in the early morning of February 24, 2005. Believed held captive over the weekend, she was raped and later murdered by 47-year-old John Couey who was living nearby. The media covered the investigation and trial of her killer extensively. On August 24, 2007 a judge in Inverness, Florida sentenced Couey, a convicted sex offender, to death for kidnapping, raping, and murdering Jessica. This lead to the now famous Jessica’s Laws regarding released sex offenders.

If you missed the interview, you can find it here: http://video.foxnews.com/#/v/4293600/georgia-eases-sex-offender-restrictions/?playlist_id=87937 it was titledGeorgia Eases Sex Offender Restrictions, critics concerned that state is relaxing sex offender laws”

Now I personally love Fox News, and generally find them to be truly fair and balanced, at least compared to other network news and CNN. However in this case they missed the boat. They failed to point out how the GA politicians chose to stand as strong as possible and as strict as the COURTS WOULD ALLOW them on maintaining and restricting those on the registry. See, we have this little thing called The Constitution that keeps getting in the way, Just Damn! They were forced to accept the lesser of two evils lest GA wind up like Ohio with virtually no registry! THIS TOOK GUTS ON THE POLITICIANS PART. Remember, as many, if not most of you know by now, the Sex Offender Registry and residency / work place restrictions have been proven over and over again to not only have absolutely no effect on the recidivism rate of sex offenders, but actually place our families and children at a far greater risk! But because the hysterical and misinformed public has been worked in to frenzy by the sensationalist media and office seeking politicians, through lies and misinformation, many constituents demand such laws. Unfortunately, this has lead to many people believing that all those on the sex offender registry are child molesters and sexually violent predators, when actually; the truly dangerous predators now only make up less than 5% of those on the registry. We have actually forced and tried to help law enforcement find the needle in a hay stack by increasing the size of the hay stack. We now essentially throw away hundreds of millions of dollars with no return, no effect, actually making matters worse! Typical government, Just Damn!

Mr. Piercy did an amazing job considering the format. Fox of course disclosed Kelly's crime for possession of pornography, conviction etc. I was curious why they failed to point out Mr. Lunsford's history with porn, since on the morning of his daughter's abduction, perhaps while she was being abducted, police found in the delete bin of his computer that he had been viewing pornography. He had not deleted a number of bookmarks however. Since he had not down loaded or saved any, and perhaps because of the drama he was experiencing at the time regarding his daughter, his attorneys were rightfully able to get any charges dropped for Mr. Lunsford. Kudos to Mr. Piercy for NOT pointing this out and taking the high road!

Next, Mr. Lunsford suggested that no one should be removed from the registry because their crime may have been pleaded down to a lower level. Again curious since almost two years after Mark Lunsford's nationwide campaign to significantly increase the sentences and release conditions for sex offenses, Jessica Lunsford's older brother, Joshua Lunsford, was charged in Clark County District Court with "unlawful sexual conduct with a minor”. The incident involves a 14-year-old girl outside of the Upper Valley Mall in Springfield, Ohio. Joshua Lunsford was 18 at the time. Joshua wore a shirt emblazoned with a photograph of his slain sister to court on the day that he originally pled "not guilty", which has become a source of significant criticism against the Lunsford’s. In July 2007, Joshua Lunsford accepted a plea bargain in which the original charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a felony offense subject to sex offender registration, was dropped to a misdemeanor charge of unlawful sexual conduct. He was ordered to undergo "sex offender assessment," but the law under which the plea was made does not call for mandatory sex offender registration. Again, Mr. Piercy took the high road and did not ask why Mr. Lunsford’s son was not required to register.

Mr. Lunsford also suggests that rehabilitation for sex offenders was not possible. And I quote:”Once you’re convicted, you’re never going to be reformed. Never in the history of mankind has anyone been reformed” This is of course patently false. Huge volumes of research and studies bear this out. In fact, even the Department of Justice was forced to reveal that in there study to prove high recidivism amongst sex offenders, the facts proved sex offenders had the lowest recidivism rate, less than 13% over three years, among all convicted felons except murderers. Drug dealers, gang bangers, armed robbers, home burglars, etc. all over were over 40%. And considering the length of sentences murders get, that is impressive. Research, facts and logic be damned, why should he do any research and educate himself when emotions can rule the day. Again Mr. Piercy took the high road and did not ask Mr. Lunsford if this meant that he was still looking at porn on his computer or if his son was still having sexual relations with 14 yr. olds.

My point is this, just like the politicians who are pandering to the hysterical and misinformed public to pass unconstitutional and immoral laws to get elected, there are those who seek to profit and gain media attention through emotions rather than logic, facts and reason. Mr. Lunsford and Mr. Walsh have both profited greatly, and gained notoriety through the exploitation of their daughters tragic misfortunes and deaths. They have done it on the backs of thousands who have paid their debt, and the hundreds of thousands family members, children and friends of those on the registry. They have done this with complete disregard of the facts, unimpeachable research and studies, logic or reason. They have completely ignored the fact that it has been proven these laws actually create a greater risk to everyone else's children. I personally find this disgusting and disturbing, especially since people such as Mr. Piercy continue to take the high road in spite of the personal attacks and injustices played upon them. Who is the real villain here?

While the desire and goal to save even one child from harm is most laudable, to do so by recklessly endangering the safety and lives of thousands of children, families, friends, fellow neighbors and co-workers does not seem a viable, or reasonable solution...at least not to me. Just Damn!

In full disclosure, I know Mr. Kelly Piercy personally. He is a former Marine, severely injured and eventually blinded by a bomb during the Vietnam War. He is a gentleman of unimpeachable character. He is the Chairman of Georgians 4 Reform, and works tirelessly to seek severe punishment against those Sex Offenders who deserve it and who truly present a risk, while seeking justice and the opportunity to re-assimilate into society those who have paid their dues and do not pose a risk. And this is how you SMACK DOWN a politician!

Whatever your political affiliation, this is funny.

A Good Catholic Joke

The Pope and Nancy Pelosi are on the same stage in Yankee Stadium in front of a huge crowd.

The Pope leans towards Mrs. Pelosi and said, "Do you know that with one little wave of my hand I can make every person in this crowd go wild with joy? This joy will not be a momentary display, but will go deep into their hearts and they'll forever speak of this day and rejoice!"

Pelosi replied, "I seriously doubt that with one little wave of your hand? Show me!"

So the Pope stood, squared his shoulders and....................

backhanded her,

AND THE CROWD ROARED & CHEERED WILDLY!

Kind of brings a tear to your eyes, doesn't it?

And Now Something to Ponder Seriously,

Do you remember the scene? The Senate. Barbara Boxer hearing from a Brigadier General? Silly General! He addresses Barbara as "Ma'am", and she CORRECTS him, telling him she's "worked SO hard to earn the title, "Senator", so please to use that when speaking to her.

Get a load of this letter!

Read the letter sent to Sen. Barbara Boxer from an Alaskan Airlines pilot below. Many of us witnessed the arrogance of Barbara Boxer on June 18, 2009 as she admonished Brigadier General Michael Walsh because he addressed her as "ma'am" and not "Senator" before a Senate hearing.

This letter is from a National Guard aviator and Captain for Alaska Airlines named Jim Hill. I wonder what he would have said if he were really angry. Long fly
Alaska!!!!!

Babs:

You were so right on when you scolded the General on TV for using the term, "ma'am," instead of "Senator". After all, in the military, "ma'am" is a term of respect when addressing a female of superior rank or position. The General was totally wrong. You are not a person of superior rank or position. You are a member of one of the world's most corrupt organizations, the U.S. Senate, equaled only by the U.S. House of Representatives.

Congress is a cesspool of liars, thieves, inside traders, traitors, drunks (one who killed a staffer, yet is still revered), criminals, and other low level swine who, as individuals (not all, but many), will do anything to enhance their lives, fortunes and power, all at the expense of the People of the United States and its Constitution, in order to be continually re-elected. Many Democrats even want American troops killed by releasing photographs. How many of you could honestly say, "We pledge our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor"? None? One? Two?

Your reaction to the General shows several things. First is your abysmal ignorance of all things military. Your treatment of the General shows you to be an elitist of the worst kind. When the General entered the military (as most of us who served) he wrote the government a blank check, offering his life to protect your corpulent derriere, now safely and comfortably ensconced in a 20 thousand dollar leather chair, paid for by the General 's taxes. You repaid him for this by humiliating him in front of millions.

Second is your puerile character, lack of sophistication, and arrogance, which borders on the hubristic. This display of brattish behavior shows you to be a virago, termagant, harridan, nag, scold or shrew, unfit for your position, regardless of the support of the unwashed, uneducated masses who have made
California into the laughing stock of the nation.

What I am writing, are the same thoughts countless millions of Americans have toward Congress, but who lack the energy, ability or time to convey them. Regardless of their thoughts, most realize that politicians are pretty much the same, and will vote for the one who will bring home the most bacon, even if they do consider how corrupt that person is. Lord Acton (1834 - 1902) so aptly charged, "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Unbeknownst to you and your colleagues, "Mr. Power" has had his way with all of you, and we are all the worse for it.

Finally, Senator, I, too, have a title. It is "Right Wing Extremist Potential Terrorist Threat." It is not of my choosing, but was given to me by your Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, and you were offended by "ma'am"?

Have a fine day. Cheers!
